Even a career high 31 points from Chandler Hutchinson wasn't enough to save the Boise State Broncos from a 17 point second half deficit against New Mexico at the Pit in Albuquerque.

The Lobos topped BSU 78-73 and that combined with Colorado State beating Wyoming, ironically also a 78-73 final, dropped the Broncos to second place in the Mountain West basketball standings.

Colorado State is 10-4 and Boise State 9-4. The Broncos host Wyoming at 4 p.m. Saturday.
