5A SIC Football to Bust Out of The Chute

There are no exhibition games in high school football, no tune-up showdowns....Idaho High School football teams jump into the deep end from the get go.

The most glaring example is the Taco Bell game of the week August 24th here on 630 The Fan featuring Mountain View @ Rocky Mountain.

The season opener pairs the top two teams according to the preseason 5A SIC Coaches poll. Mountain View #1, Rocky Mountain #2. How is that to start a season?

What's even scarier is the fact the season begins just two weeks from Friday!

Each week 630 The Fan will feature a game of the week and from top to bottom this year our tentative schedule looks as good as ever.

Skyview, now in 5A will be at Eagle September 7th and we'll be there as well. Then the next week Eagle is at Mountain View and following week we have Capital-Borah. That's a September to remember.
