APR Scores Athletes in Classroom

It’s called the Academic Progress Rate and is used to score student athletes in the classroom, a way for the NCAA to give meaning to the term student-athlete

The APR is based on a perfect scale of 1,000 and also measures the ability of schools to retain athletes with end goal being graduation.

Boise States football team has been a solid performer on and off the field in regards to the APR and this year is now different.

The BSU football team posted a 979 score, second only to Air Force at 995 in the Mountain West. The Broncos are tied for 27th in the Football Bowl Sub-division.

Students in every sport¬†are rated by the APR and all did well with men and women’s golf both scoring a perfect 1,000. Women’s beach volleyball, swimming and diving and tennis also had perfect APR scores.

Other scores: Boise State Men: basketball 971, Cross Country 964, Wrestling 982

Boise State women: basketball 969, Gymnastics 995

Idaho men: Football 927 (lowest APR in FBS)

Idaho State men: football 966 basketball 959

Idaho State women: basketball 991, volleyball 990 tennis 1,000:
