The Man in sports broadcasting known as “Hot Rod" has passed away. Rod Hundley, the long-time radio and TV voice of the Utah Jazz passed away last week at his home in Phoenix at the age of 80. While Hot Rod was well known as a Radio Sportscaster, he was also a well known college and Pro player. In fact a little trivia about Rod is that he was the was the first player taken in the first-ever NBA college player draft in 1957 by the Cincinnati Royals, who immediately traded him to what was then the Minneapolis Lakers. There are Basketball broadcasting legends, Chick Hearn from LA, Johnny Most from Boston, Bill Schonely with the Portland Trailblazers….Hot Rod Huntley will always be remembered as one of the best.
