It's not easy to win on the road in Big Sky basketball especially at Northern Arizona where the stadium is called the Walk-Up Skydome because it sits at 7,100 feet in elevation.

Speaking from experience just walking to the press box can be a dangerous journey and many a sportscaster has needed a whiff of oxygen before calling the play by play.

That makes Idaho's win at Southern Utah Thursday and at Northern Arizona Saturday mighty impressive.

Senior forward Brayon Blake didn't seemed bothered by anything as he combined for 48 points and 21 rebounds in the two games including his 6th double-double of the season with 23 points and 12 rebounds at Southern Utah.

Blake leads the Big Sky in rebounding and scores an average of 15 points per game, that's among the leaders.

After three consecutive road games the Vandals return to the Cowin Spectrum Center this week for games against Northern Colorado Thursday and North Dakota Saturday. Both games will tip off at 8 p.m. Boise time with the pre-game here on sports radio 630 The Fan at5 7:30.

Idaho is now 5-2 in Big Sky play and that's tied for second place with Weber State both teams chasing Montana at 7-0. For the record, because of a quirk in the schedule the Vandals and Grizzlies don't play this year unless they meet in the tournament.
