Khalil Forehand, the outstanding sprinter from Bishop Kelly high school thought there was a chance of him running in the state 4A 100 meter dash this weekend if only common sense and history would prevail. That wasn't to be the case as the Idaho State Board of Directors voted 13-2 to deny Forehand his chance to run in the 100 meter dash. The situation became an issue last when at the district met Forehand disqualified from the 100 meter final with a false start. Forehand, who has one the states fastest times in the 100 meter had run a state qualifying time in an earlier 100 meter heat but that didn't trump his false start and the state board voted to disqualify Forehand from running in the 100 meter race. An appeal was filed after learning Centennial's Sofia Huerta was allowed to compete in the 2010 hurdles under the same circumstances, false start but state qualifying time. Despite the precedent the appeal was denied. Forehand will compete in the 200m dash and two relays.
