Boise State Quarterback Nick Patti has been granted a partial scholarship release from Boise State and will likely transfer during the current spring semester. Associate Athletic Director Max Corbett told KTVB News that Patti's father requested his son be able to contact the University of Central Florida. Corbett says UCF is the only school BSU has only granted permission for Patti to contact.
Patti played in six games last season, completing 8-of-11 passes for 63 yards, and running the ball four times for 19 yards, but did not score any touchdowns or start.
Patti and starting quarterback Joe Southwick were caught up in a scandal at the Hawaii Bowl. Southwick was sent home after allegedly urinating from a balcony during the incident. Patti was suspended for one practice due to team violations.
