Max Rice paid his dad the ultimate compliment saying he likes the way he coaches his players and so he's joining the team.

The team is Boise State and the coach is Leon Rice. Max, is one of Leon's three sons and the 6-3 guard will be part of the Broncos as a walk on in 2018.

Max Rice, a senior at Bishop Kelly, has actually drawn a lot of interest from several schools including powerhouse Gonzaga but opted for BSU. Rice doesn't need a scholarship because he gets a tuition waiver because his dad works for the school. That leaves a scholarship open.

Rice is the reigning 4A SIC player of the year after averaging 18.5 ppg. Max says he likes dads system where they shoot a lot.
