Boise State Football coach Bryan Harsin was all smiles at the closing bell of National Letter of Intent signing day. A total of 19 new recruits were signed and Boise State was able for the most part to fend off some last minute Power 5 challenges.

Most notable was defensive end Asia Kelemete of Highland High in Pocatello who received some late interest from USC. True to his word the 6-3 225 pounder signed as a Bronco.

That was pretty much the case across the board as Boise States recruiting class of 2017 was ranked 60th in the nation, first in the Mountain West.

Another key signee was running back Drake Beasley rated the #5 back in California. Then there is QB Chase Cord who at 6-4 completed his prep career in Arizona with a state record 137 touchdown passes.

Harsin said the last 10 days of the recruiting process was a battle but that Boise State held together a recruiting class that meets the Bronco's needs.
