Boise State football coach Bryan Harsin was outwardly proud of this years recruiting class and not just because they can play the game.

Harsin said BSU got smarter because the average GPA of the 2019 class is 3.35 and of the 15 recruits, 11 were team captains, leaders.

Harsin said Boise State also got bigger with an average height of 6-3 1/2 and and average weight of 220 pounds.

Of the 15 resuits five are listed as 4-Star players and the other 10 as 3-Star recruits.In fact 247sports listed the BSU recruiting class as the top among the Group of 5 Teams.

Only one of the recruits is from Idaho but Harsin ponted out he's the best player in the state, Keegan Duncan of Declo. Duncan stands 6-3 and 220lbs and was rated the no.13 player in the country according to 247sports.

Duncan scored 51 touchdowns his senior year including 9 on special teams or defense. He was the Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year.

Another 4-Star recruit is QB Hank Bachmeier from Murrieta, California. As a four year high school started Backmeier threw for more than 13,000 yards and 156 touchdowns.
