Boise State football coach Bryan Harsin has two weeks to prepare for the Fresno State Bulldogs and the Mountain West Conference Championship game December 2nd, problem is, Boise State has to play Fresno State in the middle of those two weeks!

It's happened before that teams have had to play back to back weeks because of post season championship games but it doesn't happen often so it seems weird.

Ironically if the Mountain West didn't schedule cross divisional showdowns the final week of the season it would eliminate any possible back to back showdowns in the championship game.

To be honest, Fresno State was 1-11 last year and picked to finish 6th in the West Division this season so what harm could if BSU and the Bulldogs ended the regular season?

Hind sight is 20-20 and now you have to game plan for two games. Do you go with your best stuff in game one or hold a little back for game two. If something works in game one will it necessarily work in game two.

Or do you just go out and knock heads and see what happens? After all baseball always play back to back games against the same opponents, hockey like wise and throw in basketball, as well.

Let me predict what coach Bryan Harsin will say all week...we need to go 1-0 this week.  That's right, same team in back to back Saturdays, same process that has helped the Broncos win 7 in a row, improve to 9-2 and crack the AP poll at #25, the coaches poll at #24 and of course BSU will find out tomorrow where they stand in the Playoff Poll. They are currently #25. It's that poll that will determine where the Mountain West Title game will be played and that's why Boise State is selling tickets.
