Boise State is ranked right where it needs to be in the AP college football pre-season poll at number 29. The Broncos received 37 first place votes to debut just outside the 25 and given some of the questions marks concerning this years team that's about where BSU should be ranked.

Three of BSUI's opponents in 2017 are either in the top 25 or received votes. Washington State is 20th and the Broncos have to travel to Pullman to play the Cougars. San Diego State and BYU received votes and both those games are road games for the Broncos so strength of this years schedule is quite apparent via the AP poll.

The Broncos will hold a fan appreciation night this Saturday and open the season a week from Saturday September 2nd hosting Troy, the #1 pick in the Sun Belt Conference.

Obviously nothing will come easy for BSU this year.

In case you haven't seen the pre-season AP poll, Alabama is ranked #1, Washington led by former Boise State head coach Chris Petersen is #6.
