(Boise) - Boise State football head coach Bryan Harsin announced Wednesday that defensive back Kameron Miles (Mesquite, Texas / Butler Community College) has signed a Letter of Intent with the school.

Miles will enroll at Boise State for the spring 2015 semester, beginning classes this January. During the 2014 season at Butler, Miles recorded 50 tackles (27 solo) with two pass break-ups and 4.5 tackles-for-loss. Butler went 8-3, ending the regular season on a three-game winning streak.

Miles was a U.S. Army All-American in addition to being named first-team All-District 10-4A, 4A second-team All-State Academic, 4A All-Region II First Team (TXHSFB) and second-team All-Area (Dallas Morning News) following his senior season at West Mesquite High School in 2012. That season he intercepted four passes while making 85 tackles and breaking up seven passes.

Miles’ signing also marks a reunion with former West Mesquite High teammate and current Boise State freshman safety Dylan Sumner-Gardner.

During his recruitment as a prep, Miles was rated a four-star recruit by ESPN.com, Rivals.com and Scout.com. ESPN and Rivals.com graded him the No. 13 safety overall in his class while Scout.com had him 10th.

Miles signed with Texas A&M out of high school, and was recruited by current Boise State defensive coordinator Marcel Yates. After redshirting the 2013 campaign Miles left the program and enrolled at Butler.
