Boise State’s Justinian Jessup on Three Point Fast Track

Boise State hasn't exactly had the basketball season Bronco fans are used to but there are some bright spots.

Justinian Jessup made the 200th three pointer of his career against UNLV, Wednesday, making him the fastest Bronco to 200 career threes in program history. The Longmont, Colo., native did it in 87 games, surpassing the previous mark of Abe Jackson, who reached the milestone in 91 games.

Jessup made 50 trey's as a freshman, 90 as a sophomore and now already up to 60 his junior campaign. Jessup thus moves into seventh place on the Boise State all-time list, surpassing Eric Lane (2003-07) and his 199. Jessup is now chasing Paul Noonan (2007-11) and his 211 for sixth place.

Boise State will host San Jose State Saturday at noon. The Broncos are 5-5 in Mountain West play and 6-5 at home this year. That's a far cry from the nearly 83% of home games BSU has won under head coach Leon Rice. Rice in fact had put together a string of six consecutive seasons of 20 or more wins before the current 10-13 campaign.

As for San Jose State tomorrow, win less in league play, coach Rice said today, "They'll get someone along the way we just have to take care of our business and we'll be okay."
