The biggest argument at todays press conference with Boise State football coach Bryan Harsin concerned whether or not the Broncos have ever had a player named captain three straight years.

The consensus was no, it's never happened until this week when Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien was named co-captain along with Jabril Frazier and Tyler Horton.

The team votes on the captains but head coach Bryan Harsin is among those who tally the votes and then makes the announcement. Harsin said Rypien politely corrected him when coach told the team this was Rypien's second straight year as capital.

I believe that's three years in a row said the BSU quarterback.

At his press conference today Harsin said being a leader comes with the position of quarterback but that doesn't necessarily earn the respect it takes for a team to vote you captain. Obviously Rypien has that respect.
