One of Boise State's all time best wide receivers, Don Hutt has died. His twin brother Ron says he died of natural causes. A three-time Big Sky first-teamer and a three-time All-American (honorable mention twice and first-team once), Hutt was the first and only Boise State wide receiver to be drafted into the NFL until Legedu Naanee, Pettis, and Young came along 25 years later. Hutt was 62 and owned school records for career receptions (189) and career touchdown catches (30) until 2010 when the record was broken by Matt Miller (244), Austin Pettis and Titus Young. Hutt credited former coach Tony Knapp’s offense for his success.
