BYU head football coach Kilani Sitake hasn't said much all week about the Cougars quarterback situation for Boise State tonight but offensive coordinator Ty Detmer gave the BYU boosters a little information.

Detmer said Tanner Mangum was very doubtful for Boise State because he still doesn't have a lot of lateral movement in his ankle. Mangum, the former Eagle High standout was hurt several weeks ago and if he can play tonight it's questionable just how effective would be. Backup quarterback Beau Hoge, the son for former Idaho State star Merrill Hoge, was hurt at Utah State last week and Detmer told BYU booster Hoge would not be available for the Broncos.

That leaves third team quarterback Koy Detmer, Ty's nephew to carry the load against BSU.

Boise State coach Bryan Harsin says the Broncos have been preparing for whichever QB BYU starts tonight and BSU expects the Cougars to be just as tough as ever. The Broncos have won just one time in Provo and this is just the second road game of the season for Boise State who began the year with 16 first time starters.

Kickoff is 8:15 p.m. on ESPN.
