Cabin Fever Reliever

Kids First Cast is a non profit organization dedicated to helping children discover the fun and freedom of fishing. Saturday February 4th Kids First Cast will celebrate it's 5th Annual Cabin Fever Reliever at Karcher Mall in Nampa.

The admission is free and you'll find plenty of volunteers ready to help kids learn how to have a great time outdoors. Fly casting, archery, tying flies anything to do with fishing and Kids First Cast is ready to help.

Kids First Cast is all about family and they feel taking a child fishing can make this a better world. The Cabin Fever Reliever is from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. This past weekend 630 The Fan saw just how much fishing means to kids and parents alike. Thanks to Howard Davis from Howards Tackle Shoppe in Nampa we had a free drawing for three rod and reel fishing combinations. The line to fill entries went on all day long at the Canyon County Kids Expo.

Davis says if people have rods and reels they are not using, bring them to Howards Tackle Shoppe on Garrity and he will fix them up and give them to kids who otherwise can't afford fishing gear.

So if you're tired of the snow and cold check out the Cabin Fever Reliever Saturday at Karcher Mall. It might just be the fist hint of spring.
