The Capital boys and Boise girls track teams were the big winners of the 5A meet held at Dona Larson Friday and Saturday. The Eagles used a team effort to come up with the trophy.
Junior Sam Brixey’s sweep of the 110 and 300 hurdles, as 13 Eagles combined for 96 points. Sophomore Britt Ipsen won the long jump Friday.
Other outstanding efforts were turned in by Vallivue’s Brooklyn Daylong who was a state championship and a state record in the 5A girls discus with a distance of 152 feet, 2 inches.
