Capital Beats Rocky Mountain For 5A Southern Title
The Capital High School boys basketball team finished the regular season undeafeted. On Friday, the Eagles won the 5A Southern Idaho Conference championship, defeating Rocky Mountain, 42-41.
Capital trailed for most of the game, but tied the game with three minutes to play and won the game on a free through from Derrick White. Rocky took the final shot to win it at the buzzer, but John Sherle’s three point shot missed with less tan 3 seconds to go.
630 the Fan will broadcast the 5A state tournament, which starts on Thursday at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.
