Changing of The Guard in 5A Boys Basketball

The season is early but as we head into the holidays the balance of power in boys 5A prep basketball has switched to eastern Idaho where the Madison Bobcats and Rigby Trojans are 1-2 respectively.

Madison 7-0, the lone unbeaten team in 5A received 7 of 9 first place votes with Rigby and Borah each getting 1-vote.

Rocky Mountain, 7-1 fell from first to 3rd in this weeks poll with Borah 4th and Boise 5th.

Rocky Mountain is in action tonight against Mountain View on an otherwise light schedule of games.

The eastern part of the state also seems to be strong in the other classes as well. Twin Falls and Minico are 1-2 in 4A, Snake River is tops in 3A and Bear Lake is #1 in 2A.

What with the holidays, 630 The Fan's Taco Bell game of the week is on hiatus until January 4th when the action returns every Friday up to and including the State 5A Tournament at the Ford Idaho Center.
