DeMarcus Lawrence who left the Boise State football program after his junior season is seeing the move pay off big time.

While he hasn't signed yet, Lawrence is expected to become one of the top five paid defensive lineman in the NFL with a deal worth 17 million dollars a season.

The Cowboys have said there is no way D-Law won't be a Cowboy next year. Lawrence becomes a free agent March 14th unless the Cowboys slap the franchise tag on the former Bronco great.

That just means Lawrence can't go anywhere else and the Cowboys need to pay him at least 17.5 million.

2017 was the last year of Lawrence's rookie contract and he blossomed with 14.5 sacks, second most in the NFL. That's laying the hammer down on opponents and the front office salary cap. Lawrence was drafted 34th overall by the Cowboys in the 2014 NFL draft.
