There is no question that Destiny Slocum feels most at home on a basketball court. She also feels right at home in Corvallis playing point guard for the Oregon State Beavers.

Slocum's long journey to Oregon State from Mountain View and Maryland plus a one year  NCAA dictated hiatus has been well documented and now it's time to just play basketball.

Slocum and the Beavers are ranked 8th in the nation and are coming off an 82-31 drubbing of Santa Clara in which Slocum posted a double-double of 12 points and 10 assists.

Slocum leads the team averaging 15.4 points per game and has led them to a 7-1 record. Their only loss was to then top ranked Notre Dame who trailed most of the game.

Slocum and the Beavers head to Maui for a tournament this weekend where they'll play Eastern Washington of the Big Sky on Friday.
