Destiny Slocum Helps US Women Bury Egypt

Team USA got off to a slow start before catching fire to overwhelm Egypt in the final game of preliminary play. Mountain View senior Destiny Slocum turned in her best performance yet for Team U.S.A. at the 2015 FIBA U-19 Women’s Basketball World Championship in Russia, scoring four points and adding four assists and one steal as the U.S routed Egypt 104-41.
Team USA was undefeated in group play for the U.S. and takes on winless Argentina in the 16-team knockout stage at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. The game will be streamed live on YouTube.com/FIBA.
