The Tampa Bay Buccaneers expect former Boise State running back Doug Martin to be in camp next week to begin off season workouts but his future with the team is still in question.

Martin is suspended for violating the NFL's policy on using performance enhancing substances. He was suspended one game last year and has three suspended games to serve on his four game suspension. The suspension violated guarantees in Martins contract making it easier for the Bucs to part with him.

The only official announcement from the team claims there is no rush to make a decision on Martins future.

The word is Martin made great progress during an off-season rehab program and that he might be able to return to his old form. The ball in now back in Martin's hands and the next few weeks will be critical to his NFL future or lack of same.
