I love hearing news of former BSU football players making the NFL and doing good. And apparently Charles Leno Jr. is doing very good, because he's pretty much set for life with his new contract extension he signed today.

The Chicago Bears showed their love to Charles Leno by offering a new completed a contract extension for the left tackle today (8/23).

Leno’s four-year extension is worth $38 million…but the great news is that $21.5 million of the 38 million is guaranteed. Leno is another under the radar Boise State player that just seems to work harder than everybody else to make it big in the NFL.  Leno was an unheralded draft pick by the the Chicago Bears in 2014. He was chosen in the seventh-round as Chicago's last draft pick that year.

But through hard work and dedication he now is the 14th-highest paid left tackle in the league.

In an article appearing in the Chicago Tribune,  the current staff considers Leno to be “one of the bright spots on the roster it inherited in 2015 and the move gives the Bears flexibility looking ahead to next off season.”

Congratulations, Charles ….Go Broncos.
