Believe it or not it is already week 5 for Idaho high school football teams and the weekend action began with a pair of Thursday night games involving division leaders.

In SIC Pod A Mountain View is ruling the roost. The defending 5A State champions beat Boise 43-10 improving to 5-0 while the Braves fell to 0-5. Mountain View has won 9 straight games dating back to last year.

The Mavericks were coming off an emotional 20-19 win last Friday against then #1 ranked Rocky Mountain and with the return of quarterback Noah Bryant, who sat out the Rocky game with a concussion, The Mav's had no trouble with Boise.

In Pod B Eagle is the leader for the moment following their 42-12 win over Kuna. The Mustangs rushing for 375 yards to take a 21-7 halftime lead and never looked back. Eagle is now 4-1 overall.

Tonight Rocky Mountain, 3-1 will host Timberline in an effort to keep pace with the Mustangs.

In 4A a huge game tonight on sports radio 630 The Fan as #1 Skyview travels to #3 Emmett. Kickoff at 7 p.m. and we expect a wild shootout so be sure and join us for the broadcast.
