The August 21st total solar eclipse is almost here. Idaho is right in the pathway for optimal viewing, so it's probably no surprise that searches for Idaho hotels are way up.

Hotels.com reports that searches for hotels in states along the eclipse route have jumped as high as 325% of normal levels. The good news for those who have waited is that, in many areas, hotel rooms are still available.

Idaho, along with Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Kentucky have experienced the largest bump in searches for hotel rooms year-to-year.  Idaho is up about 135% with just about one month until the big day.

Hotels.com did highlight hotels in the most popular states that still have availability, and for Idaho, focused on Boise's Riverside Hotel and My Place Hotel in Meridian.

Yahoo Finance has more on neighboring states and their availability, and well as further background on the eclipse.
