Idaho women's basketball coach Jon Newlee became the Vandals winningest coach in program history in 2017. Since then he's continued to add victories and last night when his Vandals beat Eastern Washington 69-60, Newlee earned his 200th career victory.

Of course if you ask Coach Newlee he'll tell you the most important aspect of last nights win is the fact  the Idaho ladies are now 4-1 in Big Sky play.

Despite trailing early, the Vandals would lead by as many as 14 points, led by Lizzy Klinker's double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Idaho finished with a season high 13 made three pointers. Idaho will host Montana Saturday in the Cowan-Spectrum 3pm MST.

Idaho Mens Basketball: The women's game was part of a double header at the Cowan-Spectrum Thursday night with the Vandal men losing yet another nail biter 78-75 to Eastern Washington. The Idaho men are now 1-4 in Big Sky play having lost those four games by a total of 9 points.

Trevon Allen had 23 for the Vandals as he surpassed 1,000 career points.

Idaho will be at Montana Saturday for a 7pm MST tip off to be broadcast here on sports radio 105.5fm The Fan.
