Boise native and Capital high school grad Jake Plummer has been selected as part of the 2019 class of inductees into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Plummer and former Idaho coach Dennis Erickson were both named today to the 2019 class which will be inducted in December on this year.

Plummer left Capital high school to become a four year starter for the Arizona State Sun Devils. His best season was 1996 when he almost led ASU to a national title with an 11-1 record, a Rose Bowl appearance and Plummer was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year.

Plummer, know as "The Snake" went on the the NFL spending most of his time with the Denver Broncos.

Ironically, Erickson (see Dennis Erickson story) who was tabbed a 2019 college football hall of fame inductee as well today, spent time as the Arizona State football coach although Erickson's claim to the hall of fame goes through his two national championships while coaching the Miami Hurricanes.
