It may well be that former Boise State running back standout jay Ajayi was just a trade away from a Super Bowl!

Ajayi started the year in Miami and for many reasons life with the Dolphins just wasn't working out for Ajayi so Miami decided to trade him away and the Philadelphia Eagles were eager to pick him up!

Ajayi went from a 6-9 team to a 13-2 team who yesterday with the help of Ajayi beat Oakland and wrapped up the number one seed in the NFC playoffs.

Ajayi hauled in a 17 yard scoring strike from Nick Foles in the first quarter to give Philadelphia a 7-0 lead. Ajayi finished the game with 51 rushing yards and 21 through the air. The Eagles 13-2 record is the best in the NFL and Ajayi is now one step closer to playing in a Super Bowl.

Sure, a lot can happen between now and then but the road in Miami was going nowhere and now Ajayi has a J-Train up to full steam as the Eagles get ready to close out the regular season this Sunday with the Dallas Cowboys coming to town.

Ironically Ajayi will be facing several former Boise State Broncos now on the Dallas defense, most notably DeMarcus Lawrence the sack leader in the NFL, Orlando Scandrick and Tyrone Crawford.

If your a Boise State football fan that will be a fun NFL game to watch New Years eve.
