Boise State men’s basketball head coach Leon Rice will stay with the Broncos. Coach Rice had interviewed with Washington State earlier this week, Boise State released a statement over the weekend saying that Rice and the university have agreed to new terms of a five year contract.
Under the new contract, Rice will receive a $100,000 dollar salary increase for the upcoming year, bringing his salary to $596,573 for the 2015 fiscal year.
Under the new contract, the automatic extension was also revised. Rice will have one year automatically added to his contract for each season in which a team has at least 18 wins or advances to the NCAA Tournament.
The new contract is subject of approval from the Idaho State Board of Education.
