It was defense that made the difference for the Broncos as the team beat the Mountain West’s first place San Diego State 61 to 46. The Broncos, who had a hot 3 point shooting spree in the first half, jumped out to a big lead and never looked back.

Over 12.000 Bronco fans filled Taco Bell Arena. No crowds of 10,000 or more have seen a game in the building since March 9, 2013, when the Aztecs visited.
