Meridian Cal Ripken Baseball Team Picks Up A Victory

The Meridian Cal Ripken baseball team picked up a victory in Mondays game against New England champion Danbury, Conn. Isaiah Vega hit a two-run double in the bottom of the second inning, giving Meridian a 4-3 victory over Danbury. Meridian, the Pacific Northwest representative, also got a two-run single from Hayden Cantrill to open the scoring.
Meridian takes on undefeated Maryland at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
