Mountain View Crowned Girls 5A Champs

The Mountain View High girls came away with a 66-53 victory over Boise to win the program's first 5A state girls championship Saturday night at the Ford Idaho Center.
Jr. Guard Destiny Slocum finished four points short of tying the individual tournament record of 79 and was four-tenths of a point shy of the average 26.3 set in1996.
Both Mountain View and Boise only lose one starter next season.
