The Idaho High School Activities Association has named their new Director to take the reins after John Billetz steps down this summer. Ty Jones a native of Idaho was chosen to head up the association. Jones graduated from Boise State in 1989. He received both a Master of Education and Education Specialist degree from the University of Idaho. He began his educational career as a teacher and coach in 1989 at Twin Falls High. He has since served as a teacher, coach and administrator at Gooding and Jerome high schools before becoming elementary principal and superintendent of the Hagerman School District in 2012.In a press release IHSAA Board President Richard Bauscher says, “Ty will find that the IHSAA is a dynamic, well-run organization, and the board is confident that he has the necessary skills to keep this momentum going.”
