Five times this year Boise State has come "oh so close" to winning a basketball game. Five games this year have been lost by one possession including Tuesdays 72-71 heartbreaking loss to 10th ranked Nevada.

The Wolfpack came to town favored by 7 points but when Boise State took a 71-69 lead with seconds to play more than 8,000 Bronco fans could smell the upset. It didn't matter that the broncos were 0-16 against Top 10 ranked teams all-time, this would be different.

But it wasn't! 4.5 seconds to play and Caleb Martin, a 19% three point shooter, cans a trey and Nevada wins 72-71.

Boise State is now 0-17 all-time vs. Top 10 ranked opponents.

Alex Hobbs was a bright spot for the Broncos as his 19 points and 7 rebounds paced the BSU attack and was the third time in four Mountain West games Hobbs has scored in double figures.

Boise State is now 3-1 in league play and will host Fresno State this Saturday tip off at 3:30 p.m. The Bulldogs come to town 12-4 overall and 3-1 in league.
