One Idaho Ski Resort Shuts Down Their Lifts
Soldier Mountain has turned off its chair lifts for the season because of lack of snow..
Resort manager Don Schiermeier said "Numbers have been down this year. I think we are right around 4,500. I just think that is because of weather conditions."
The perfect season for Soldier is from Thanksgiving to Easter. This year it opened on Christmas.
Soldier Mountain will just rely on its backcountry terrain for the rest of the season. The plan now is to operate its Snowcat backcountry trips for at least a couple more weeks.
