Rocky And Skyview #1 in Prep Football

The first week of high school football is in the books and the first media prep football poll is on the record.

Rocky Mountain is #1 in 5A. The Grizzlies opened the season playing Spanish Springs of Nevada and winning 43-0.

Coeur d'Alene also played an out of state opponent losing 56-33 to Folsom of California but the Vikings still received 2 first place votes to ranked #2.

Mountain View which beat Eagle 21-19 in a game broadcast on 630 The Fan is third followed by Highland of Pocatello and Capital. FYI, Highland and Capital play in Boise September 8th and we'll have that game for you on 630 The Fan.

In the 4A poll, Skyview received 8 first place votes after they topped Lakeland 47-21. Bishop Kelly is 2nd following their 35-31 win at Kuna. FYI: 630 The Fan will broadcast Fridays Bishop Kelly-Borah game from Donna Larsen Park.

Skyline of Idaho Falls, Emmett and Vallivue round out the 4A top five.
