Scott Garson, who in five years became the winningest basketball coach in College of Idaho history, has resigned to become an assistant coach at Santa Clara of the West Coast Conference.

Garson posted a 129-42 record in his five seasons as the Coyotes basketball coach and took C. of I. to the national semi finals this year.

Garson says he wasn't actively seeking a new job but when Santa Clara called over the weekend he knew he had to make the move if he ever wanted to become a Division I college basketball head coach.

Garson says it will be tough leaving Caldwell and he'll always be a Yotel
