If you go to a 5A or 4A boys high school basketball game this week in the Treasure Valley you may notice coaches in sneakers. It's all part of the third annual Coaches vs. Cancer week and the sneakers are meant to increase the awareness that cancer affects everyone.

Mountain View coach Jon Nettleton started the movement which has expanded to include several other conferences in the state and each team is responsible for how it conducts a cancer fundraiser. Some teams will wear pink socks or whatever it takes to bring awareness during the games today through January 28th.

Nettleton hopes that someday every team across the state will participate in this week of trying to raise cancer awareness and the funds to fight cancer which Nettleton says doesn't discriminate.
