After trailing for much of the fourth quarter The Idaho Stampede cut the score to within one point in the final seconds, but wound up losing its home opener to the Iowa Energy 94-87 Wednesday night in a game heard on The Fan.

The Stampede trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half before making it an 88-87 game with 1:04 remaining then Iowa scored the final six points.

Idaho stays home to host Bakersfield on Saturday night. That game will be on 580 KIDO. Cooper expects his team to come back and battle for a win, just as it did on the road to open the season. Idaho lost its opener at Rio Grande Valley, and came back the next night and beat the Vipers.
