State Football Semi-Final Wrap Up
Two days of record breaking snow fall on Thursday and Friday didn't stop Mountain View and Lake City from battling it out in the frigid cold Friday night and for Mountain View, it paid off. They'll be heading to their first 5A Championship game in school history.
However, other games around the state were postponed due to weather, but the game goes on. Rocky Mountain traveled over to Holt Arena to face Highland, who boatraced the Grizzlies and will face Mountain View on Friday in the final on the Blue at Alberstons Stadium. The 4A semifinal between Bishop Kelly and Rigby was a close one, with Bishop Kelly coming out on top. Middleton rode their great season into a semifinal match-up against Blackfoot, but fell short. Blackfoot and Bishop Kelly will face off in the 4A final at Holt Arena. Both 3A semifinals were close contests, with Fruitland beating Emmett by one point and Snake River victorious over Shelley. Fruitland and Snake River will play on Friday as well, also on the Blue at Alberstons Stadium.
Stay tuned to 630 the Fan for updates on times as they're announced and for updates on all the finals. 630 the Fan will be out at Albertsons Stadium on Friday. Congrats to all the teams for a great season and good luck to those in the finals!
