Idaho hockey fans have waited along time to see professionals skating on the ice in the state's capital city of Boise. That wait ends in October with a preseason matchup between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Arizona Coyotes.

After playing in the State Championship game last season, Mountain View's Coach Benedick is looking to have another successful season. "Graduating a lot of seniors and losing some key positions, I am looking for to the returners to take responsibility and am also looking to the new players to step up and fill those roles vacated by graduation."

Nampa High School is one of the newer schools that moved up to 5A. The Bulldogs are considered underdogs so Choate wants to rise the level of play, compete and win.

The last two years Rocky Mountain High School has been beaten by Highland High School in the semi playoffs. Rocky is looking to change that outcome this year.

Looking to improve their season this year, Borah High School's coaches and players are on the same page for making their season successful.

Eagle High School is always a competitive team when it comes to football. This season the Mustangs expecting to play for a state championship.

Coach Lacey believes the Meridian High Warriors will be able to go out and compete this season and be in a position for a SIC Conference Title.

The Timberline High School football team is looking to come out and have a lot effort on the field this season along with trying to make the post season this season. Coach Copeland wants to play more relentlessly than they have in the past.

Capital High School has a tradition of having great football teams. Coach Simis expects to keep the tradition going this season.
