At the end of January 2018, you can bare witness to the moon pulling something amazing off that it hasn't done in 150 years.

It doesn't technically have a proper name, but many are calling it a "super blue blood moon eclipse." It's a mouthful, but for good reason. On January 31st, we'll simultaneously experience a super moon, a blue moon, and a total lunar eclipse. The last time this all happened at the same time, Andrew Johnson was our president.

It'll be the second full moon of the month (a blue moon), a super moon (when the moon is full and closest to Earth), and a total lunar eclipse (when the moon appears red). Unfortunately, our view from the states won't be as good as the view from the Eastern hemisphere.

While the hype doesn't seem to be as big as it was for the total solar eclipse of 2017, you can be sure that you'll soon be seeing Super Blue Blood Moon Eclipse t-shirts and mugs at your local superstore soon.
