After seven games in nine days at the FIBA U19 World Championships, the United States is leaving Russia with their sixth straight gold medal. Mountain View's Destiny Slocum came off the bench for three assists, three rebounds, and two personal fouls in her 11 minutes on the court during the United States' 78-70 victory over Russia.

“It is amazing. I don’t think there is anything better than representing your country and also winning a gold medal for it. The honor is a blessing,” Slocum told USA Basketball.
