AP Logan - Utah State center Jarred Shaw has been charged with felony distribution of a controlled substance. Shaw, who leads the 9-2 Aggies in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots, also was charged Friday with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The Salt Lake Tribune reports the 23-year-old Shaw was indefinitely suspended by coach Stew Morrill on Sunday, when police responded to a call at a home near the university and found marijuana. Logan Assistant Police Chief Jeff Curtis says the amount of marijuana was "more than personal use." He says an underage girl was taken into custody and referred to juvenile court. Morrill told The Herald Journal of Logan that Shaw was suspended for a "violation of team rules" but declined further comment.
