It’s never to early to get started, so the Vallivue School District Board of Trustees named the first head coach for their new High School on Tuesday. Tom DeWitz, former Boise State offensive lineman, will lead the Ridgevue Warhawks high school football team next fall.

DeWitz has been an assistant coach at Washington’s Hanford High. He previously was an assistant at California’s Palm Desert for 15 years.
DeWitz was a First-Team I-AA All-American for Boise State in 1987 and a second-team All-American in 1986.

Ridgevue and Vallivue will compete at the 4a level, opening their season against Nampa.
