Vandal Football Assistant Loses Cancer Battle

Idaho athletic director Rob Spear tweeted today that Mark Vaught, the Idaho Vandals' director of football operations, died Wednesday night after a battle with cancer.
Vaught, who was 31, was a graduate of Woodland High School in Washington. He joined the Idaho staff in 2008 after completing graduate work at the University of Washington, where he’d also served as interim director of the Nordstrom Tennis Center. Earlier, he worked in the athletic department at Oregon State, where he earned a business degree in 2006.
