After a two-hour, 48-minute delay due to lightning in the area, Idaho and Florida's 2014 season-opening game began at 7:50 with Valdez Showers returning the opening kickoff 68 yards to Idaho’s 14-yard line.
And just as UF quarterback Jeff Driskel brought his unit to the line officials stepped in, huddled and announced that lightning had struck again within an 8-mile radius of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, thus forcing yet another delay. Stay tuned.
